Since Apple released Safari for Windows Vista (and XP) I’ve been trying to get it installed, however the following error was keeping me from a successful install;

“The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate … Error Code 2738″

I found out that the fix is a simple one!

1.) Open up the start menu and type in “cmd”, wait for it to finish searching the command prompt program and run it as an Administrator (Right mouse button and select “Run as Administrator”).

2.) (Make sure you are Administrator) Once the Command Prompt is open simply type in the following command “regsvr32 vbscript.dll” and press enter.

Ignore any errors you might may encounter.

3.) You are ready to reinstall Safari 3 Beta and run it on Windows Vista!
